Saturday, June 5th, 2010Burning Man 2009 Pictures
Saturday, September 12th, 2009The rest of the pictures are up in the Gallery. As always, Burning Man was an intense, rewarding, and refreshing experience for me. Aside from the amazing art and explosions, taking a week to disconnect from the multi-tasking distractions of my everyday life always refreshes me and serves as a reminder not to get too distracted by the toys and technology of modern life.

Houston Art Car Parade
Saturday, June 7th, 2008Mother’s Day was my primary purpose for diverting to Houston for the weekend a few weeks ago, but I also had a chance to participate in the Houston Art Car Parade. While I really enjoyed riding on the Vroom Vroom Room (our favorite mobile piano bar), this Radio Flyer car was probably the most impressive from-scratch art car that I saw that day.

“Crude Awakenings”
Friday, September 7th, 2007While the burning of "The Man" was impressive as always, the pyrotechnics used when they burned the "Crude Awakenings" art installation later that evening were by far the most impressive I've ever seen. See these links for some video of the second burn of the evening:
