Whistler 2008

After missing out on several ski seasons in a row, I finally returned to the slopes this week.  Although I experienced the expected aches and pains, I was pleasantly surprised by how I was able to hit the blue slopes on my first morning.   I even survived a few short black runs when I made the mistake of allowing Assaf to pick our route.

Certain animal symbols show up a lot in Egyptian hieroglyphics, including this one.  Now, upon close inspection this is probably some kind of bird, but doesn't it show more than a passing resemblance to a certain corporate logo?

Every now and then, the little "quote of the day" that pops up in my Gmail "web clip" bar comes up with something that strikes a cord with me:

"There are three constants in life… change, choice and principles."

So, I haven't sorted through this batch as much as the first one (believe it or not, I actually didn't post every single picture I took), but here is the next batch of pictures from Luxor and Karnak.

So, I have the first round of pictures up.  On my first day in Cairo, I spent the morning visiting the Giza Necropolis, home of the Great Pyramid (one of 9 on the site) and the Sphinx.
